Sari Yarn
Sari Yarn comes from the sari weaving industry in India. The threads are collected from the ends of each weaving and then distributed to outworkers in the surrounding villages, where the woman will spin them into the gorgeous yarn you see here. It can be used for couching by hand or machine, stitched by hand into a loose weave fabric or opened out to embellish on to felt or soft material. The skeins will vary in twist and each skein will be slightly different fron the next as the nature of the yarn will depend on individusl spinners and the mix of colour in the yarn.
