Textile Art - it's not just Embroidery
TexArt Creative keeps me very busy, so although I remain as boss, I leave my husband and manager, Mike, to look after day-to-day running of the shop, this allows me to indulge my passion for teaching.
2013, looks like being another busy year with me again out on the road and hopefully inspiring groups of avid stitchers to experience new ideas. Whilst quite a number of invitations come from Embroiderers' Guilds and other formal Craft Groups I am often approached by individuals keen to join a workshop. Whether it be Devore or Batik, Traditional Handstitching or Natural Dyeing my response is invariably, that if you can get together a minimum of six people and a suitable venue we are well on the way.
During the Summer months I offer a series of Workshops at my base on the Wirral and I have left the details on the site to invite interest from potential students. It is not meant to be a comprehensive list, so if there is something else you are particularly keen to try, perhaps you should send me an email and we can discuss it? Fiercly traditional or wild-and-wacky, I am always open to suggestions from keen students
